Lawn edging in Douglasville, GA

The line between a decent yard and a great one.

Grass creeping across a driveway can make an otherwise tidy lawn look unfinished. Edging restores the boundary without turning the whole yard into a landscape project. We treat the line along the walk, the drive and the lawn as part of regular care, not an afterthought once the mower is packed away. James is on every property and can see where a seam needs attention or a tight corner needs careful trimming. The aim is a clear finish that belongs to the property, not a trench cut into it.

How we do it

We follow the existing hard edge and keep the work controlled along the seam. A blade establishes the line where needed; a string trimmer handles areas that call for a lighter touch. Around posts and fences, we trim the grass without treating the structure like a cutting guide. We check the finished edge from the walk as well as the lawn, then clear loose clippings. If the boundary is buried under heavy growth or needs a bed redesign, James reviews that separately before any additional work is agreed.

Georgia grass & timing

Edges need the most attention while grass is actively spreading. Bermuda can creep quickly over concrete in warm weather. Dense Zoysia needs a clean boundary without gouging the turf beside it. St. Augustine runners call for a careful cut, and Fescue edges should not be shaved down just because the concrete line is low. Georgia spring and summer growth make regular attention useful; cooler weather changes the pace. Edging follows the mowing visit, with a fixed service day and rain moved within the same week.

Pricing

Weekly mowing starts at $50 per visit for lawns up to 9,000 sq ft. Larger lawns are priced by lawn area. Bi-weekly service costs 30% more per visit because each cut removes about two weeks of growth. The regular visit includes mowing, string trimming, edging and blowdown. James reviews every quote before service is agreed, and no payment is taken through the quote form.
